Acupuncturist

Take care of yourself!

Hello everyone,

My name is Vanessa, I am an acupuncturist and a member of the Ordre des Acupuncteurs.trices du Québec.

I carry a sensitivity that I long expressed through my interest in art, and which now takes shape in my healing practice, guiding my relationship with others.

My approach is rooted in the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, whose origins date back over two thousand years. I use tools such as acupuncture needles, heat therapy, Gua Sha, electrical stimulation, and light therapy to help restore the body’s balance.

Each treatment is tailored to your situation in order to support your body’s self-regulating capacities and promote your well-being.

In this spirit, I welcome you into a safe and supportive space, where gentleness and attentive presence accompany each session.

FAQ

Appointments can be booked online through my scheduling system (available in the Contact section). You can also reach out if you have any questions before booking.

Yes. I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation or change so the time slot can be offered to someone else.
Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may be subject to a fee, as indicated in your confirmation email.

The first session is a time for discussion. I take the time to understand your health, lifestyle, and reasons for consultation. This helps me tailor the treatment to your needs.

The first consultation lasts about 60–75 minutes for general acupuncture and 90 minutes for facial acupuncture. Follow-up sessions are usually 45–60 minutes.

In most cases, treatment is not painful. The needles are extremely fine. You may feel a slight sensation such as a pinch or pressure, which is brief. Mild bruising can occasionally occur.

Yes, it is best not to come on an empty stomach. A light meal or snack beforehand is ideal. Avoid heavy meals right before your session.

Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to adjust. Depending on the areas treated, you may be asked to undress partially. You will always be covered with a sheet to ensure comfort and privacy.

Acupuncture is suitable for most people. Certain conditions, such as pregnancy, bleeding disorders, or the presence of a pacemaker, require precautions. Please inform me so I can adjust the treatment.

Responses vary. Many people feel deeply relaxed, sometimes slightly tired. It is recommended to hydrate well and rest if possible.

General acupuncture

The number of sessions varies depending on the condition, its duration, and your overall health. Lifestyle habits can also influence results.

Facial acupuncture

Skin often appears brighter after the first session. Frequency depends on age and goals: maintenance every season may be enough under 50, while monthly sessions are often recommended after 50.

Treatment may be postponed or adjusted in cases of active skin infection, open wounds, recent facial surgery, recent Botox/filler injections (wait about 1 month), or acute illness.

Acupuncture treatments are tax-free and no tips are expected.

Accepted methods: Interac e-transfer or cash.

Receipts for insurance or tax purposes are provided after each session.
